  • Luis Rojas, O.D.
    Luis Rojas, O.D. Co-founder of DeNovo Eye
    Therapeutic & Optometric Glaucoma Specialist

    Dr. Luis Rojas, a South Texas native, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry with honors from Texas State University – San Marcos. He then spent a year as a teaching assistant for Anatomy and Physiology at the University of Texas – Pan American. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Houston College of Optometry in 2015, where he received four Letters of Excellence for clinical performance and the Avalon Excellence Eyewear Award for outstanding optics and dispensary skills. Additionally, he was elected to treat and manage patients with advanced ocular surface disease at the UEI Dry Eye Center, earning the Dry Eye Center Excellence Award.

    Dr. Rojas has extensive medical training in managing and treating ocular disease, including diabetic retinopathy, neurological disorders, uveitis, and advanced glaucoma. He specializes in creating custom therapies and performs non-invasive procedures for those with ocular surface disorders associated with systemic and autoimmune disease. He also provides vision and ocular rehabilitation using specialty contact lenses for an array of corneal disorders and myopia control via corneal refractive therapy (CRT or orthokeratology).

    Dr. Rojas believes in using an integrative approach that focuses on patient’s overall systemic health and its effect on eye health and vision. Aside from spending time with friends and family, Dr. Rojas enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle and traveling with his wife.

    Mohamed Osman, O.D. Co-founder of DeNovo Eye

    Dr. Mohamed Osman, a native to North Carolina, graduated from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte with dual bachelor’s degrees; Bachelor of Science in chemistry and Bachelor of Arts in biology. He attended University of Houston College of Optometry, where he received his Doctorate of Optometry O.D. along with clinical recognition of excellence in the areas of ocular disease, contact lenses, and comprehensive family practice. Dr. Osman completed additional clinical training at Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Hospital in conjunction with the prestigious Moran Eye Center.

    Dr. Osman has spent his career gaining extensive clinical experience in medical and refractive surgery management. These advanced refractive eye surgeries include LASIK, PRK, implantable collamer lens (ICL), cataract surgery/refractive lens exchange, and pterygium excisions. He enjoys managing complications related to these procedures. Dr. Osman was appointed as Clinical Director at a nationally recognized refractive surgery center, priding himself in offering the most advanced and customizable surgical and medical options for patients of all ages.

    Dr. Osman believes each patient encounter is unique in its own, and hopes to provide the most modern medical, refractive, and surgical option for each patient. In his free time, Dr. Osman enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and attending local car events.

  • Tiara Thomas, O.D.
    Tiara Thomas, O.D.

    Dr. Tiara Thomas, grew up in the north DFW metroplex and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and minored in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she received her Doctorate of Optometry O.D. and was recognized with multiple awards for her leadership and dedication to the program, students, and patients. During her time in optometry school, Dr. Thomas dedicated her efforts to improving the quality of the program and she became a voice for the students as the President of the Optometric Student Association and was elected as the Class of 2022 Graduation Speaker for her commencement ceremony.

    Dr. Thomas completed her clinical rotations helping an under-served population at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas, a community clinic where she gained experience in the management of severe ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, and specialized equipment. She also travelled to Oklahoma and provided full service optometric care including laser procedures for the Cherokee Nation among varying clinics in the Rural Eye Program. She has experience with managing ocular complications from chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, keratoconus, cataracts, and dry eye.

    Dr. Thomas believes in providing customized holistic ocular care to each patient while keeping the encounter interactive. Outside of optometry, Dr. Thomas enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, discovering fun food places, and exploring what the world has to offer.

  • Elyse Lemery
    Elyse Lemery, O.D.

    Dr. Elyse Lemery, O.D. was raised in Dallas, Texas, where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern Methodist University.  She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctor of Optometry Degree.  During her optometric school career, she received NIH research grants for four summers in a row, with her main research interest being binocular vision.  She also received multiple awards and presented her research results at the American Academy of Optometry meeting.  Dr. Lemery has been involved in optometry for almost her entire life, her dad was an optometrist as well.  From the time she was a toddler, she would go to work with him for fun and credits him with giving her such passion for the field.

    Dr. Lemery completed internships in which she specialized in contact lenses, general optometry and ocular disease.  She is therapeutic and glaucoma certified and has an interest in multifocal contact lenses, toric lenses and external and internal ocular disease.  Her love of the profession guides her in giving extensive and thorough exams and always taking time and listening to the patients needs.  She is a member of the Texas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, Dallas County Optometric Society and the Northeast Texas Optometric Society.

    When not practicing optometry, Dr. Lemery loves spending time with her two children, her husband and her pets.  Her main interests are travelling, animals and animal rescue, movies, hiking, spending time with friends and family, and good food.
